Rubbery Farm in Lydford is trying to compost all the pumped effluent from the Glastonbury festival toilets. Andy Keen says they are having to build a very large concrete slab and tank to catch the run off. Effluent will stay on the farm for two years.
They can receive up to 360 tons a year from various festivals.
With ammendments of HH-2 technology to the operational system they could avoid any run off from the collection of human effluent and even get it off the slab in 60 days!
We were requested to do the same thing for Biffa Waste with a treatment plant in Derbyshire filled with city sewage sludge.
