Planting Fruit Trees and Bushes in a Forest Garden

This is a one day course covering the design placement of fruit trees and bushes within a forest  garden. We will be planning a strawbale heat sink within the forest garden to enable maximum warmth for these items.  Also the planning and cutting of a mown path through it.

We will be planting nut trees, mulberry, pear and  raspberry and blackberry bushes. Also how to keep what are considered as bad weeds and use them as edibles and others as nutrient suppliers. We boost our trees off with a good dose of our HH -2 compost which helps protect against excessive damp/drought conditions. Highly productive ecosystems at Well End. Also covers ash tree weaving into a shelter.

Course starts at 9.30am – 4.30pm and includes delicious v/v lunch and refreshments.
